The club was first started in 2002, and after a few rocky years, has established itself in Austin and the Australian Rules Football community here in the U.S.

Since its founding in 1951, Austin Yacht Club is the place in Central Texas where members and guests can find a fun, uniquely Austin version of what a “Yacht Club” should be. It’s a great community of sailing enthusiasts with excellence in sailing skills, racing and training.

Capital Area Tennis Association
CATA’s membership is composed of tennis enthusiasts who are dedicated to fostering national and international amateur sports competition through junior and adult programs that promote the sport and its benefits.

Capital Area Water Ski Club
The Capital Area Water Ski Club (CAWSC) was established in 1988 to further develop competitive water skiing in the Austin area.

Celtic Cowboys Sport & Social Club
They play the traditional Irish sports of men's and ladies Gaelic football, as well as Hurling & Camogie. The club also organizes more than a dozen soccer teams for both men and women.

The First Tee of Greater Austin (TFTGA)
TFTGA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit youth development organization dedicated to providing young people with educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf.

Hill Country Outdoors

Austin Vipers Football Team
Founded in 2011, Austin's Premier Minor League Football Attraction.

Austin Ice Bats
Sadly, they're now defunct (1996-2008), but a cool story about their crazy name. The hockey team was named in honor of the Mexican Free-tailed Bats (Tadarida brasiliensis) which nest under the Ann W. Richards Congress Avenue Bridge in the city. Somewhere between 750,000 and 1.5 million of the flying rats reside underneath the bridge each summer.

Austin Toros Basketball Team
The Austin Spurs team is the NBA affiliate of the San Antonio Spurs. Games are hosted at the H.E.B. Center at Cedar Park, just north of Austin.

Round Rock Express
Round Rock Express is the Major League Baseball (MLB) Triple-A affiliate of the Texas Rangers baseball team. The team plays at the Dell Diamond, just north of Austin in the city of Round Rock.

The Rockin’ City Rollergirls
The Rockin’ City Rollergirls is a skater owned and operated, all-female flat track roller derby league based out of Round Rock, TX.

Texas Rollergirls Rock-n-Rollerderby
Austin is so big on roller derby the city has two leagues! The Texas Rollergirls is a 501(c)(3) non-profit public charity sports organization dedicated to playing and promoting the sport of Women’s Flat Track Derby.

Texas Stars Hockey Team
The Texas Stars is the NHL affiliate of the Dallas Stars. Players take to the ice at the H.E.B. Center at Cedar Park from September to April.

Texas Xtreme Football
This semi-pro football team based out of Austin, TX was founded in 2010.

Recreation Centers
The City of Austin Parks and Recreations Department has a listing of all of their community recreation centers where events are held.

Austin Rock Gym: Indoor Rock Climbing
ARG is Austin’s ONLY dedicated rock climbing company and offers the most comprehensive climbing lessons and services available. They have locations in North and South Austin.

Zilker Park
Many of the Austin active clubs meet up and use the facilities at Zilker Park. The park has facilities for beach volleyball, soccer and a number of other field sports.

Round Rock, the Sports Capital of Texas
Just 15 minutes north of Austin lies Round Rock, home of the Round Rock Express, the Rockin' City Rollergirls, the Dell Diamond, Old Settlers Park and the Round Rock Sports Center.

Just north of Austin, The 120,000-square foot Round Rock Bass Pro Shop Outdoor World boasts a 16,000-gallon aquarium, a restaurant with bar (Uncle Buck’s Fishbowl and Grill), an archery range and a bowling alley.

Cabela's
The massive Cabela’s retail store is located in Buda just off I-35 between Austin and San Antonio. In addition to offering quality outdoor merchandise, the 185,000 sq. ft. showroom is an educational and entertainment attraction, featuring a décor of museum-quality animal displays, huge aquariums and trophy animals interacting in realistic re-creations of their natural habitats.

Rowing Dock
Rent your kayaks, stand up paddle boards (SUP) and paddle boats from the Rowing Dock on Lady Bird Lake.

Zilker Park Boat Rentals
Established in 1969, Zilker Park Boat Rentals has been offering quality boat rentals since Lady Bird Lake was called Town Lake.
